At Ysgol Meifod we understand the importance of maintaining good physical and mental health throughout our lives. We encourage the pupils to keep fit and healthy both mentally and physically. Ysgol Meifod has great links with the community and local sports clubs.
Parents know that they are always welcome to talk to teachers about any concerns. The school is able to sign post parents for support where needed and seek advice from professionals.
Our 2023 Estyn report noted that, ‘All staff show high levels of care for pupils. They model positive behaviours, develop nurturing relationships, and get to know pupils’ personalities and interests well.’ Furthermore they state ‘Nearly all pupils enjoy school, feel safe and valued and are proud to be part of the learning community. They trust adults in school, know who to turn to for support, and are confident in asking for help when needed. The extremely positive relationships that pupils develop with adults at school enhance the pupils’ well-being and sense of belonging.’

Welshpool Sharks – swimming club. This is a great club which runs 3 times a week at The Flash, whether children want to compete or just improve stamina, swim stroke and fitness.
