We were so happy to welcome back, after a mere 40 years, Dave Edwards who is CEO of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a previous pupil of Ysgol Meifod. He has agreed to Ysgol Meifod’s Junior Duke Ambassador. As an ambassador, he spoke to us about not giving up if we fail at something, trying new skills and being kind and helpful to others!
The children had lots of questions about his different jobs in aviation. It is great to have someone willing to come back to the school and inspire the children with our new venture. We want the children at Ysgol Meifod to grow as confident individuals, ethical citizens, capable learners and creative contributors as the Welsh curriculum supports.
The booklets for the Junior Duke will come out before half term and more information for parents will be n the website too.
