Crisp Packet Challenge

Ysgol Meifod are thrilled to have Coral the Clownfish in their playground for the next two weeks.  She is on loan from The British Ironworks Centre and the children can fill the colourful clownfish with their discarded crisp packets, which will be recycled by the Centre into survival blankets to help homeless people in the UK.
In addition, this project will help reduce the amount of plastics entering our natural world and help to improve the habitats of fish and ocean mammals living in our seas.
Members of the ECO Council will collect the crisp packets from classes each day and ensure Coral is filled up.  She will hold 10,000 crisp packets in total!
A very big ‘thank you’ to the Rushworth family for collecting Coral for us today.
